St Louis, Missouri -- MarChem Corp,, a producer of polyurethane and plastisol polymers, says that through all of 2011, no OSHA accident was recorded at its manufacturing plant in St Louis. (OSHA is the US Occupational Safety and Health Authority overseeing workplace safety.)
According to MarChem plant manager Hershey Feldstein, "MarChem Corporation is committed to provide to its customers and employees a safe work environment. Meeting monthly, the management team reviews potential safety issues, assesses impact and implements corrective action."
All employees receive annual safety training -- using the many programmes in MarChem's Safety Kit, with topics such as: Back, Electrical and Driving Safety, Safety Audits and Personal Protection Equipment.
MarChem claims that this proactive approach has created a safe environment that minimises accident costs to the company.
