Mexico City – Rigid foam maker, Maxima Dimension, is planning to export rigid boardstock to the US market, according to president Alfonso Garza, speaking at UTECH Las Americas.
Maxima Dimension sees the Mexican market for polyurethane insulation products as being strong and resilient, said Alfonso Roel, a member of the firm’s management team.
‘There is no event that makes us think it will slow down. We are confident that there will be growth in the national PU market. We are in the rigid segment and think it will grow at 15% at least this year,' Roel said.
He added: 'Companies are expanding their operations into other geographical areas such as Europe and Asia. We have seen growth in Latin America. Our customers export,’ he said.
Garza said his firm is in a position to export to the US because of raw materials at ‘very good prices from China and other places.’
Garza is also looking for a joint venture. He said: ‘I would like ot get into a joint venture because I am getting old. I’m looking for a way out of the business.
UTECH Las Americas was held between 4 and 6 April.
