Chico, Mexico — MCNS, the SKC, Mitsui polyol joint venture, opened a systems house in Chico, Monterey, Mexico at the end of April.
According to Korean wire service reports the new facility has 20 kT/year capacity, and according to KD Won, co-chief executive of MCNS, the systems house will pave the way for MCNS to make aggressive inroads into other Central and South american markets. Won said his firm plans to build a further 10 systems houses taking its global total to 20 by 2020 and are part of MCNS' plans to grow sales by $1.75bn by 2020, according to the report.
MCNS added that it plans to open two further systems houses in India, but gave no indication of the time frame for such a move. Recently, MCNS and Jayant Agro-Organics opened the Vithal Castor Polyols jv in India.
