Seoul -- MCNS Mitsui Chemicals & SKC Polyurethanes, a joint venture between Japan's Mitsui and Korea's SKC has started trading, the parents said in a press release on 1 July 2015.
MCNS starts trading
MCNS is a 50:50 joint venture which aims to “strengthen competitiveness in existing business”, “explore new business chances globally”, and “maximise synergy in marketing, R&D and production”, said the release.
The goal for the firm is to become a global leading company in the polyurethane industry, the release continues.
MCNS' long term goal is to achieve sales of $2bn (EUR2.2bn) and ebit of $150m in 2020.
The green ribbon in the logo is designed to symbolise the "unending, rewarding and global bond between SKC and Mitsui Chemicals with customers and markets," said the release. It added that the green colour was chosen to express MCNS' environmentally friendly policy."
