Penang, Malaysia – Meridian Adhesives Group has opened an application development centre in Malaysia. The company said the state-of-the-art facility is designed to enhance technical capabilities and innovation in Asia, expanding its Pacific Adhesive Systems brand.
By integrating the capabilities of Pacific Adhesive Systems with the global resources of Meridian’s electronics division, it said, the hope is that the new facility will accelerate product innovation, improve application performance. It should also allow it to foster closer collaboration with partners in the industry.
The new centre will serve as a technical hub for customers in Asia. It will provide advanced application development, material testing and process optimisation support.
It will offer customers a number of specialised services, including thermal and mechanical testing, environmental testing and durability assessments. Also available at the facility will be die shear testing, rheometry and viscometry, plus precision dispensing and mixing technologies, and a cleanroom.
