Guangzhou, China - Spanish thermoplastic polyurethane supplier Merquinsa announced 17 May at its Chinaplas 2011 booth that it has opened Merquinsa Guangzhou, a representative office.
Chinaplas is Asia's largest plastics trade show, held this year in Guangzhou from 17-20 May.
Merquinsa said the new Chinese office will provide TPU product training, application development and technical sales & marketing support to better meet China TPU growing market demand for higher value and sustainable applications.
The company said it "plans to hire talented TPU engineers in China to support its strategic growth.
Stephen Xu, technical sales manager with the Guangzhou office said in Merquinsa's announcement: "The new office will put the company closer to our TPU customers and we are excited about the opportunities for our high quality TPU products in the rapidly growing Chinese market."
Merquinsa focuses on unique TPU technologies with strong research and product development to help Chinese customers to grow profitably in a wide range of industries such as footwear, textile or automotive, among others.
