By Liz White, UT contributing editorBarcelona, Spain-Polyurethane producer Merquinsa has entered into a distribution agreement within Spain with Polymerland Guzman of Valencia for its Pearlthane thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers. The agreement covers the Spanish injection moulding market, said a statement from Barcelona-based Merquinsa.
"With this distribution agreement, Spanish customers will benefit from Merquinsa's speciality TPU solutions, locally manufactured, and Polymerland Guzman's expertise in engineering plastics distribution," said Jean-Marc Galvez, Merquinsa's global business manager for elastomers.
Merquinsa, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, continues to invest in its TPU elastomer business, Galvez added in the company statement.
"Our agreement with Merquinsa fits well into Polymerland Guzman's area of expertise with elastomers," said Luis Iranzo, general manager of Polymerland Guzman.
As well as having seven strategic sales and inventory locations in Spain, Polymerland Guzman said its technical staff can provide customers with assistance in material selection, with processing support, and provide consultation on mould design.
