Delhi – Mitsui Chemicals has opened a coating technical centre in India. The centre is located in Guruguram in the northern state of Haryana, to the south-west of Delhi.
Its aim is to improve technical support for the company’s coatings and engineering materials business. This includes its Takenate and Takelac polyurethane-based adhesives, which can be used in film lamination.
The 450m2 centre includes a range of different coating machines and analysers. The company hopes this will enable customer problems to be quickly resolved in India, instead of having to send products to Japan for evaluation and testing. It will also help customers develop new products by carrying out R&D using the latest coating technologies and providing technical guidance.
The company said it aims to further bolster its presence in India. It also hopes this will help it step up its technical support in the Middle East and Africa.
