Birmingham, UK – Mlily, part of Nantong Healthcare, will increase capacity in ‘March or April’ when a newly installed Laader Berg machine comes on line, said Pomi Khan, Mlily CEO UK/Canada.
Pomi was speaking at the January Furniture Show, held 21-24 January in the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham.
The machine will be located at the company’s 700,000 m2 plant in Rugao City, near Nantong, China. It will be used to produce a variety of foam, said Khan. Much of the production from the site is sold as white label products for other mattress makers, he added.
‘We are happy to spend to grow,’ Khan said, adding ‘we are always reinvesting.’
Mlily is ‘the largest memory foam maker in the world,’ he added.
The deal to purchase the new machine was agreed between Per Henning Vaagan of Laader Berg and James Ni of Nantong healthcare on a flight returning from Poland, where Ni had seen a Laader Berg in operation, said Khan.
