London - Financial analyst Moody's has recently changed its outlook on Bayer AG's A3 rating from stable to positive on expectation of further improvement in the company's earnings over the next 12-18 months.
The A3 rating is the seventh on Moody's credit ratings scale and Bayer has been on this level since 2006, with a stable outlook since 2010. The financial consulting firm said Bayer still needs more improvement in order to reach an A2 rating.
Though the decision to change the rating is based mostly on improvements in the healthcare division, Moody's said recently announced measures to improve profitability and returns in the MaterialScience division following capacity expansion also supported the positive outlook.
