Paris, France – Moroccan company Dolidol, which makes and distributes PU foam and bedding products, is to expand its operations in Nigeria. This is being done with the help of a finance package from IFC and Proparco, the French development agency.
Dolidol plans to purchase Nigerian mattress and bedding supplier Mouka. It also plans to strengthen its distribution network in Nigeria, and improve the quantity and quality of bedding products available in the country.
The finance will be backed up by advisory services from IFC to help improve productivity. It will also give assistance in improving energy and production efficiency. More than 200 direct and 600 indirect jobs will be created in the two countries, in addition to the 1000 employees the company already has in Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire.
‘Dolidol has built a strong brand recognition in Morocco,’ said Mohamed Lazaar, the company’s CEO. ‘We hope to offer Nigerians affordable, high-quality beddings and develop our operations in the country while offering jobs, trainings and sustainable supply chains.’
