Vienna, Austria – Neveon, the foam division of Greiner, is to sell its Perfoam automotive business to Trèves Group. The deal includes Perfoam’s facilities in Austria, the Czech Republic and Mexico, along with two joint ventures in China.
The sale is expected to close before the end of 2023, subject to regulatory clearance. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Paris-based Trèves Group designs and manufactures acoustic and thermal insulation products for the automotive sector. Perfoam specialises in automotive interior trim and powertrain insulation parts, and has almost 600 employees. Its 2022 revenue was about €100m.
With the sale, Neveon is getting out of the automotive sector, and will now focus on its vertically integrated foam core business in mattresses, upholstered furniture, healthcare, aviation, and railway. It is also keeping its businesses in special foam applications, such as boiler insulation, and both technical and composite foams.
“This concentration on the core business is a vital and correct step for Neveon,” said Neveon CEO Jürgen Kleinrath. “On the one hand, it will contribute to a stable and successful future and, on the other hand, it will offer the automotive business new and extensive opportunities for development.”
