Delaware, US – Chemours has appointed a new chief financial officer. Shane Hostetter joins from Quaker Chemical, where he had been CFO since 2021. When he takes up the role on 1 July, he will lead the company’s finance, investor relations, corporate development, strategy and enterprise risk management functions.
Previous CFO Jonathan Lock was one of the three senior executives, along with former CEO Mark Newman and principal accounting officer Camela Wisel, who were put on administrative leave after being found to have massaged the balance sheet. Matt Abbott, who had been filling in as CFO on an interim basis, will now return to his previous SVP role of chief enterprise transformation officer.
“Shane is a welcome addition to the Chemours team,” said Denise Dignam, the company’s president and CEO. “With over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of finance and a deep understanding of the chemicals industry, Shane is uniquely positioned to drive long-term value for shareholders.”
