Grafenberg, Germany – Rampf has developed a new conductive, highly flowable polyurethane potting and compound for filter elements used in explosive environments.
The material can be used in ATEX environments because they help to reduce the chances of sparking during filter cleaning. It has a conductivity of 0.03MΩ/cm with good flow properties and low mixed viscosity. This makes the potting system easier to use than earlier versions.
The compounds are available in Shore A50 and D80 hardness. They also offer a high level of chemical resistance, the company said.
