Everberg, Belgium — Huntsman launched, Rimline HC+ a two-part product polyurethane system designed to be spray-applied to fiberglass reinforced honeycomb panels.

Tough, robust and long-lasting lightweight composites used as parcel shelves, trunk load floors and automotive interior panels can be made with the material.
Using the product increases design freedom, said Huntsman. It can be applied to complex honeycomb shapes and subsequently moulded, said the company.
The technology can also yield good edge finishing and produce highly detailed mouldings.
A long spray time and short cure time are built into the formulations, said the company. Additionally, mould fouling is low and a high number of releases between cleaning cycles is possible with the material.
Huntsman said Rimline HC+ PU resin system can be supplied in made-to-order formulations to meet stringent or complex project requirements.
