Dublin, Ireland - Research and Markets has a new report on the market for 1,4-butanediol (BDO) in China, estimating BDO capacity expansion and predicted output in the period 2008-2010, based on the information of key BDO producers.
In recent years, according to Research and Markets, China has become the most important BDO net importer in the world due the rapidly developing BDO downstream sector making China constantly short of BDO supply.
In the period from 2001-2005 China's reliance on BDO imports exceeded 60 percent and reduced to over 40 percent in 2006-2007, the company said.
Based on current key BDO capacity expansion projects in the downstream sector the new report will estimate China's BDO capacity expansion and also predict its output in the period 2008-2010. According to Research and Markets, China's BDO demand will increase during this period, boosted by the factor that capacity expansion projects of PBT resin and urethane elastic fibre will be gradually put into operation.
Based on the authoritative statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of China and the General Administrations of Customs China, notice of listed companies, the report analyses the current situation of China's BDO industry and forecasts its future development. The report also analyses China's nine key BDO producers regarding their manufacturing technology, production capacity and capacity expansion plans.
