Mannheim, Germany – BASF's MasterBuilder Solutions business has added a range of heavy-duty colour-stable grades to its range of Ucrete flooring products.
The new materials carry the CS designation, indicating their colour stability, said the company. They resist yellowing and have both good UV stability and good chemical resistance, which also helps delay yellowing.
The new products represent a real step change for our customers aesthetic expectations, according to Andrew Taster, head of global strategic marketing for the performance flooring business at Master Builder Solutions.
He added: 'Visually appealing floors are in great demand in the market, but also very difficult to achieve in challenging environments like the food process industry.'
In addition to UV and chemical resistance, the flooring materials have good temperature, impact and anti-slip properties. They are durable, hygienic and long-lasting said BASF. This combination of properties makes them suitable for use in food, drink, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical production sites, the company said.
'Many Ucrete floors are still in service after several decades the harshest environments,' added Taster.
