Irondale, Alabama – A new polymer technology firm Creative Polymer Solutions (CPS) has been created by Signet Enterprises.
The company will co-locate the polymer blending facility with another Signet firm Sprayroq and produce polymers for protective and structural coatings for municipal, industrial and commercial sectors.
CPS will specialise in the development and blending of polyurethane and polyurea products, it said.
Anthony Manna, Signet founder and chairman, said: “It’s well known that the economy suffers from the effects of infrastructure corrosion, so we anticipate that with the advent of CPS, we will be able to increase our reach in becoming part of the total solution to that significant problem.”
Signet said metallurgy research firm G2MT laboratories estimates that corrosion will cost the US economy more than $1.1 tr in 2016.
Signet Enterprises acquired Sprayroq in 2001.
