Ji’an, Jiangxi – Two new polyurethane leather projects are being planned at the Yongxin Industrial Zone in Ji’an, Jiangxi province, according to the projects’ environmental filings earlier this year.
One project, by Jiangxi Tuoyi Leather, will be located at the Zone’s 1.3m m2 Maoping Leather Park, which also houses a number of other leather companies. Tuoyi was set up in the park in 2016 with CNY 6.8m ($1m) registered capital. The project contains 4m metre/year microfibre PU leather capacity and 0.5m metre/year genuine leather capacity with CNY 70m total investment earmarked.
The other project by Jiangxi Zexi New Materials, set up in the Zone in 2015 with CNY 2m registered capital, is located in the Zone’s Luoxing Industrial Park. With CNY 80m investment, the project includes 10m m/year capacity for water-based PU leather and 5m metre/year capacity for oil-based product. Further details of the projects are yet to be disclosed.
