Leslie, Michigan -- Huron Technologies Inc. has launched a new release coating -- No 7996 for polyurethane systems used in moulding footwear soles.
Release Coating 7996 is a solvent-based release agent developed to release polyether polyol systems typically used in the manufacturing soles of safety shoes and boots. The chemistry in Release Coating 7996 aids in the production of low gloss, defect free, dual density direct attach parts, says Leslie, Michigan-based Huron.
Huron says the new agent promotes:
• Dual density adhesion
• Low build up in the mould cavity -- reducing cleaning efforts
• Exceptional release ease
• Lower scrap rates -- consistent low gloss surface appearance
The new agent is one of a comprehensive line of release agents developed by Huron Technologies, Inc. and is available in 55 gallon drums and 345 gallon returnable stainless steel totes.
Since 1991, Huron Technologies says, it has been a custom formulator of release coatings, conditioners and cleaners for manufacturers moulding polyurethane, rubber, concrete, phenolics and other composites for automotive, electronic, transportation and construction industries.
