Leslie, Michigan - Huron Technologies Inc. says manufacturers of in-mould coated and moulded flexible polyurethane products can used its new water-based release agent grade, 8016, to help reduce processing costs and increase efficiency.
According to Huron, robotic spray application of the new release agent with a low solids output (between 12-18 g/min) results in more moulded per gallon, making moulding processes more cost effective.
Release Coating 8016 also provides a consistently cleaner mould due to less build up on the mould surface, allowing for extended mould cycles before cleaning.
Automotive steering wheels, handles, office furniture and interior trim components are typical polyurethane in-mould paint products which benefit from the release technology of Release Coating 8016.
