Aachen, Germany – German cutting machinery company Fecken-Kirfel plans to launch two new advances in 2019, one in conjunction with Spain's IPF.
New smart systems from Fecken-Kirfel and IPF

The first all-Fecken-Kirfel development is a new suite of software. Companies with frequent production changes can use it to become more more efficient, said Francis Pinckers, director at Fecken-Kirfel.
Pinckers, explained: 'This is aimed at customers who have big volumes of small series. That is a big issue. It is easy to handle big volumes if they are all the same. But our customers have a lot of mattresses: they are all different, the size, the design, length and width. We will show cutting equipment that can handle small series.
The second innovation, his company will launch is a program that can help automate the production schedule.
Pinckers explains: 'In the system you enter the orders and then automatically with a Gantt diagram you can move production to suit customers and estimate when the product will be finished. The system gives you an overview to help decide priorities. You can drag and drop the orders around the timeline.'
'Our software complements the IPF MyFoamPlant software and we will also present this interface between the two,' he added.
Pinckers said that the Fecken Kirfel software is very open and can interface with ERP software. This makes it possible to 'calculate jobs and see when an order will be finished across the whole of production.'
We need to have a range of products to match customer requirement for all regions, but this year.
The products will be introduced at the forthcoming Interzum and K trade shows.
