Tokyo — Polyurethane production in Japan rose sharply in November 2016 to 17.13 kT compared with 15.8 kT in November 2015, according to figures from Japan’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
This spike in production has led to a slight improvement on production levels in the first 11 months of 2016 compared to the first 11 months of 2015 in Japan. The country had produced 163 kT of PU by the end of November 2016, up approximately 1.8% on the November 2015 level. The 2015 total volume of polyurethane produced was 165kT.
