Allentown, Pennsylvania - Former Dow executive Guillermo Novo will join Air Products as senior vice president, electronics, performance materials, strategy and technology, effective 14 Sept.
Novo joins Air Products following a period as group vice president, Dow Coating Materials. He began his career with Rohm and Haas in 1986, which merged with Dow in 2009. Prior to the coatings appointment, Novo served as vice president for Dow's polyurethane business.
"Guillermo has repeatedly and successfully faced challenging business situations and has been very successful driving innovation and profitable growth through his strong strategic leadership," commented John McGlade, Air Products' ceo said in a 17 Aug news release.
McGlade added, "He brings to Air Products a breadth of global sales, marketing, and business and technology development experience. He will be an outstanding addition to our senior team as we continue to execute on our 2015 goals for growth."
Air Products manufactures and markets a variety of additives, intermediates and prepolymers for use in the polyurethane industry.
