Milan, Italy - Italian machinery group OMS will launch a new high-pressure metering machine ECOPLus at the forthcoming exhibition UTECH Europe 2009, to be held in Maastricht, 30 Mar - 2 April.
This new metering machine, "provides better processing control to polyurethane manufacturers at interesting price," OMS claimed, in a 2 Feb news release.
OMS added that it has designed the ECOPlus for improved reliability, flexibility and easy operation.
The compact ECOPlus series delivers outputs of up to 200 kg/minute, and offers more standard features than other economically priced models available on the market, OMS claimed, including:
• Jacketed, pressurised tanks with low-speed agitators for chemical temperature control.
• Fixed-displacement axial piston pumps with double seals for low maintenance.
• Variable speed motors controlled by a Siemens S7 300 series PLC, which allows output variations without manual intervention.
• L-style mix head with chemical/hydraulic separation and adjustable cleanout piston stroke for optimum mixing.
The ECOPlus has a compact frame, with components mounted for easy maintenance access. The self-diagnostic control system continuously checks that all variables are within the pre-set ranges, the developer said.
The control also keeps track of items that require routine maintenance, according to OMS.
Visitors to UTECH Europe 2009, organised jointly by Crain Communications Ltd, publisher of Urethanes Technology International magazine, and Industrial Promotions International BV, will be able to see more on OMS' ECOPlus development at Stand 2120.
