Arlington, Virginia - Nominations for the 2009 Polyurethane "Innovation Award" close on 10 July 2009.  The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) reminds the industry that they should act now to nominate a development, in one three categories: Polyurethane Chemicals, Processing Equipment and Finished Products.

Finalists will be selected and winners announced at the Polyurethanes 2009 Technical Conference, held 5 -7 Oct at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Fort Washington, Maryland (Washington, DC).

CPI also points out that delegates for the conference should also register by 5:00 pm on Friday 10 July to save $100 with the early bird registratration. This year's conference will provide polyurethane industry leaders and professionals an opportunity to hear about the latest research, technical developments and business issues affecting the global polyurethanes industry, says CPI.

Fees will also increase after 9 Sept and 3 Oct.

Discussing the innovations award, CPI director Neeva-Gayle Candelori said: "CPI seeks to recognise the people who work continuously to advance polyurethanes by bringing innovative products to the marketplace. ...

"The Polyurethane Innovation Award program helps identify and highlight the products and technologies that will galvanize the industry and keep it moving forward," Candelori added, in a 7 July statement. A panel of judges representing a cross section of polyurethanesexperience and knowledge from industry and industry associations willevaluate all submissions and choose finalists for each category.

Details on the award and an entry form can be found on the CPI web site at www.polyurethane.org/conference2009.
