Brussels – Owens Corning has become a member of trade association PU Europe, whose focus is on PU and PIR insulation. The US company, based in Toledo, Ohio, operates in 31 countries. It has four business units, focusing on roofing, insulation, doors and composites.
“Owens Corning is honoured to join PU Europe”, said Chris Skinner, the company’s VP for strategic marketing and R&D for the composites business. “Partnering with PU Europe supply chain stakeholders will help us to accelerate the development of key technologies in our nonwovens business.” This, he said, will support the use of polyurethanes for a more sustainable built environment through material innovation.
“Joining PU Europe is an exciting opportunity to continue to share best practices and knowledge across the building and construction industry on key sustainability topics, in view of the fast-evolving regulatory changes and cross-industry opportunities in Europe,” said Federica Rizzo, the company’s regulatory and sustainability senior counsel in Europe.
