Dallas, Texas -Oxea, which produces polyols used in polyurethane production and other products, is increasing prices for two chemicals on 1 Feb.1 or when contracts allow.
The firm said it will hike prices for neopentyl glycol and trimethylol propane by 5 c/lb in North America. In Latin America and Asia the cost will increase $100/tonne.
On 1 Jan, Oxea increased prices for the chemicals by 5 c/lb in the US, and enacted price hikes in Asia Europe, too.
The company did not provide a reason for the price increases.
