Dallas, Texas -- Oxea Corp. said it will increase list and off-list prices on Neopentylglycol (NPG) and Trimethylolpropane (TMP) as well as of propionaldehyde, with effect from 1 April 2009, or as contracts allow.
Prices for NPG and TMP will rise by 5 cents/lb in the Americas, by $110/tonne in Asia, and by Euro 85/tonne in Europe.
For propionaldehyde, prices will go up by $75/tonne in Asia and Euro 50/tonne in Europe, Oxeas said.
Oxea is a global supplier of solvents, polyols and oxo derivatives such as carboxylic acids, esters and amines. Its products are used to make high-quality coatings, lubricants, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, flavourings and fragrances, printing inks and plastics.
Oxea has annual sales of about Euro 1300 million ($1733 million) and employs about 1300 people in Germany (Oberhausen and Marl) and the US (Bay City, Texas and Bishop).
