Dallas, Texas - Oxea is to increase list and off-list prices for polyols on 1 April 2012, or as contracts allow, in North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, Middle East.
Trimethylolpropane prices will increase by $200/tonne, and neopentylglycol prices by $0.05/lb or $200/tonne.
Oxea is a global manufacturer of oxo intermediates and oxo derivatives such as alcohols, polyols, carboxylic acids, speciality esters, and amines. It says these products are used to make high-quality coatings, lubricants, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products, flavourings and fragrances, printing inks and plastics.
In 2011, Oxea generated revenue of about Euro 1.5 billion with its 1365 employees in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
