Tinley Park, Illinois – Panduit has acquired DongWon EN-Tec’s portfolio of subsea cable and pipe protection products, whose applications include protecting connections to offshore wind turbines. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The deal includes DongWon’s Uraprotect polyurethane submarine cable and pipe protectors, bend stiffeners and restrictors, and J-Tube seals for wind turbines.
Panduit said the acquisition will enable it to offer customers in the Asia-Pacific regions a wider range of protection products for protecting power and fibre optic cables in sub-sea installations.
