Novi, Michigan — India's Patcham introduced two new catalysts for the polyurethane industry at Foam Expo, (28th February to 2nd March, 2017).
The 30-year old company which headquarters and research and development centred in Dubai sells its products in 55 countries around the world, said Chaitanya Desai, senior vice president, Americas. Desai was talking on the side lines of the event.
The company's main interest is in catalysts for semi-rigid and rigid applications and has been developing a number of tin-free catalysts and delayed-action nickel catalysts as replacements for mercury catalysts. The company has technology in bismuth, zinc and zirconium catalysts, he added.
The firm has worked to make its bismuth catalysts hydrolysis stable and used the event to launch its Patcat 4012 hydrolysis stable bismuth catalyst which is a gel catalysts for PU foam and can act as gel and cross-linking catalyst in case applications, Desai added.
The firms new Patcat 7001 nickel catalyst is a delayed-action catalyst for polyurethane foam and can act as a cross-linking catalyst in case applications, he added.
