This is partly because there were fewer selling days in November 2020 than in November 2019. Fleet sales are slower than private sales, LMC said.
Meanwhile, sales in China hit 2.7m units, up 11% on the previous month. In the same month in 2019, Chinese dealers sold 2.4m units.
in Western Europe, sales were 1.1m units in the month. This is 15.2%lower than the amount sold in November 2019. Figures were hit by national lockdowns across the region. The lack of a trade agreement between the UK and EU is likely to mean a slow start to Western European sales in 2021, the consultants warn.
Sales in Brazil and Argentina fell to 247,000 units in the month. This compares with 256,000 units in the same month in 2019.
