Chattanooga, Tennessee -- Pathway Polymers Inc. has signed an agreement with Dismacor SA, a major tyre distributor in Bogotá, Colombia, to provide tyre fill solutions to the Colombian Ministry of Defense.
The deal, part of a larger project called El Plan Meteoro, was first launched by Colombian officials to protect and improve road infrastructure and regain roadway security, according to Chattanooga-based Pathway.
The company said its mission is to provide the "best tyre flatproofing systems and the best customer support through continuous innovation," which is one of the reasons Dismacor awarded the contract to Pathway.
Fernando Bedos, general director of international business at Pathway, will train and certify Dismacor technicians on the tyre filling process.
Pathway, the manufacturer of polyurethane tyre fill product TyrFil, said it is the only tyre fill provider offering technical training in Spanish.
Pathway, a subsidiary of the Vita Group, also distributes its patented AutoFil Recycling Systems."
