London -- Paul Mitchell, publisher of Urethanes Technology International and European Rubber Journal, will retire 19 Sept 2011 after 30 years with the company. The staff of both publications will move from their current offices in London to join colleagues in Croydon (European Plastics News, Plastics & Rubber Weekly and the European arm of Plastics News) from 18 July.
Steve Crowhurst, publisher of Plastics & Rubber Weekly and European Plastics News, will serve as publisher of ERJ and UTI as of 18 July, and Mitchell will continue with the publications until his retirement date to ensure a smooth transition.
Mitchell has been responsible for Urethane Technology's UTECH exhibitions, launched in 1986, and will continue to be a consultant of the polyurethane trade show, with Crowhurst taking leadership of the events.
"We are thrilled that Paul has agreed to serve as a consultant for the UTECH exhibitions after his retirement," said KC Crain, vice president and group publisher, Crain Communications Inc. "His rich relationships around the world, especially in China, will continue to keep the exhibition brands he founded strong for years to come."
