Brzeg Dolny, Poland — PCC Prodex has opened a 15kT/year polyurethane pre-polymer plant to supply the flexible polyurethane foam, sports surfaces and adhesives markets.
Grzegorz Dolbniak, president of PCC Prodex said: "The investment will undoubtedly contribute to the more dynamic development of our segment of product based on isocyanates. The new system will increase production capacity through the Group PCC and will allow for entry into new markets and specialised applications."
Currently, the company trades single- and two-component PU systems as Ekoprodur and Ekopromer and a range for rigid and semi-rigid products called Crossin.
PCC Prodex said that the installation, which includes tanker docks, a tank farm, reactors and packaging lines is fully automated. This, the firm said, allows precise control of product and production quality.
