Brzeg Dolny, Poland - Polish polyol maker PCC Rokita announced it invested PLN 13.9m ($3.6 m) in PU production capacity in the first three quarter of 2019.
The announcement came in the company’s financial report for the January-September 2019 period.
PU systems production in Poland is also carried out by local offshoot PCC Prodex.
'In the third quarter of 2019, PCC Prodex re-launched deliveries … to the mining sector. This will use the capacity of the plant in Myslowice, Poland more efficiently,' according to the report.
The report briefly describes the performed and ongoing construction work related to PCC Rokita’s PU segment.
'Within those nine months, the [PU] segment carried out planned maintenance and investment. By the end of the third quarter, a [new] pilot [production] unit … was launched,' the report says. 'The company is continuing its work on expanding storage facilities for ethylene oxide which will improve logistics capacities and security of deliveries.'
PCC Rokita is a subsidiary of Germany’s PCC SE group. The firm has been listed on the WSE since 2014.
