Brussels - The Polyurea Development Association in Europe, PDA Europe, is joining forces with the Deutsche Bauchemie eV (the German Association of Construction Chemicals Manufacturers) to set up a working group on polyurea in building & construction technology.
Within this grouping, the major producers of polyurea raw materials will collaborate with formulators of speciality products for the construction industry. They aim to issue a status report with a description of polyurea's performance in diverse uses and its environmental behaviour, said a statement from the PDA.
Further work on the German and European regulations for construction will be identified which is relevant for roofing, flooring, bridge construction, water treatment, potable water and more, the statement continued.
The group will produce recommendations on how polyurea can be used or certified under existing regulations, as well as lobbying for polyurea to be incorporated into new and upcoming regulations.
The working group is open to new members, but membership of Deutsche Bauchemie is required.
