Kansas City, Missouri -- The board of directors and members of the American PDA have approved a new, expanded mission for the organisation, the association said in a 24 Aug announcement.
PDA - previously known as the Polyurea Development Association - will now be known as PDA - association for high performance elastomeric technologies.
The new title and tagline takes into account the new direction for the organisation, which will adds "an array" of adjacent elastomeric technologies used in coatings and other applications to the PDA's remit, the association said in the announcement.
The international trade organisation has released a revised mission and a revised statement of purpose, which aims to "advance and promote the market for polyurea and polyurethane elastomeric technologies" by using the industry's shared knowledge.
"I'm thrilled with the changes approved by the Board," said PDA president Kyle Flanagan. "These changes will allow the association to expand its offerings and membership in many ways for years to come."
