Perstorp, Sweden - Speciality chemicals company Perstorp opened a sales office in Dubai on 1 June to serve its customers in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, the company announced earlier this month. Although the company has been doing business successfully in the region since the seventies it had not has a sales office in the area previously.
"This is an expansive region for all our products, but in particular for our traditional polyalcohols as well as various acids and formats," said regional sales manager Maj-Lis Lindberg Palsson. She added, "Therefore it is important for us to be close to the market and our customers. We want to be able to offer our very best service."
"Dubai is an important trade centre in the Middle East. By being present there we can see more and hear more. It is important not only for our sales activities, but also for other functions of the company," said Peter Westberg, director of sales and marketing.
He concluded, "Middle East/Africa is an important part of our business for several product groups today. I am confident we will see more of our products in focus over there in a not too distant future."
