Perstorp, Sweden - Perstorp has renamed its Rhodocoat brand isocyanates as Easqua, the company said recently.
The company said that through the acquisition of the speciality chemicals activities within Rhodia Organics and Lyondell Chemie, the isocyanates ranges are now part of Perstorp's portfolio and require special marketing. The new name comes from 'Easy' and 'Aqua' to emphasise the products main properties, for example, they are easy to use in waterborne formulations, Perstorp said.
Polyisocyanates have been designed to replace solvents with water, creating high-performance coatings with less environmental impact, Perstorp added.
The company said other polyisocyanate ranges will not be affected and new product data sheets will become available shortly. (RD)
