Perstorp, Sweden - Speciality chemical provider Perstorp group will present its sustainable solutions for coating applications at the forthcoming European Coatings Show in Nuremberg, Germany.
The Swedish company said it will focus on novel waterborne and high-solids polyurethane solutions, UV-curing solutions and renewables.
"Perstorp's sustainable coating technologies follow two clear strategies. We want to increase the availability of renewable coating products and also reduce/remove the use of solvents and toxic ingredients," commented Bo Häggman, director of market development.
He added that the strategies are designed to give Perstorp's customers "a real environmental choice" without compromising performance.
Perstorp will show its Capa caprolactone, as well as caprolactone-based polyurethane dispersion top coats for leather. Other caprolactone developments include high-performance two-component polyurethanes and amino-cured products for high-end applications within marine, aerospace and wind power industries.
At the event, Perstorp will also demonstrate the benefits of non-ionically stabilised polyurethane dispersions for waterborne resins using its Ymer technology, which it says provides excellent performance characteristics.
The European Coatings Show will be held 19-21 March in Nuremberg, Germany.
