Munich, Germany - KraussMaffei AG's reaction Process Machinery Division will have a new leader from 1 April 2008, when Frank Peters takes over as general manager. Peters succeeds Walter Tesche who will be retiring mid-year, said KraussMaffei, in an 18 March statement.
"KraussMaffei owes a huge debt of gratitude to Walter Tesche for trailblazing achievements during his 35 years with the company, said Dr Dietmar Straub, ceo of KraussMaffei, in the statement.
Since 2000, Tesche has led the RPM division to "an outstanding position in the market. The fact that our polyurethane technology is today a valued partner for our customers is largely due to his commitment and strategic vision," emphasised Straub.
Peters joined KraussMaffei in 1997, working in RPM sales in the North American market. From 1999 to 2003, he was head of strategic product management at GEA Lufttechnik, before returning to KraussMaffei as general sales manager for Reaction Process Machinery in 2003. Since 2006, he has been head of RPM activities at the Munich plant.
In fiscal 2007 (ending 30 Sept), KraussMaffei said it posted group sales of Euro 950 million and booked orders of over Euro 1000 million.
