Loudon, Tennessee - The US Polyurethane Foam Association has issued a reminder that 26 Feb is the deadline for submitting requests to give technical presentations at its 26-27 May 2010 meeting.
The PFA is interested in contributions on recent developments in processing of flexible polyurethane foam, and on innovations in formulation and foam production technology. Other topics of interest are product sustainability and environmental issues, the PFA adds, pointing out that papers must have a non-sales focus and specifically address topics related to slabstock or moulded flexible polyurethane foam production in North America.
A maximum of eight presentations, each 30 minutes long, will be scheduled for the May meeting. Those interested are asked to submit a short summary of the intended content to: [email protected]
The spring 2010 PFA meeting will be held at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel - Baltimore, Maryland.
Bob Luedeka, executive director, also points out that 2010 is the 30th anniversary of the Polyurethane Foam Association, and he wants photographs of people, business outings, buildings, equipment (new and old) and old advertisements that mark industry achievements and help tell the story of flexible polyurethane foam research, production and commercialisation in America from its earliest days to the present. This material will become part of the 26 May anniversary programme, Luedeka said.
