Loudon, Tennessee – The Polyurethane Foam Association’s Fall meeting was moved online this year, with the planned in-person meeting in San Antonio, Texas not happening in the light of the coronavirus pandemic. The meeting should have included a celebration of the association’s 40th anniversary, but this has been postponed until it can take place in person.
PFA Fall meeting held online
‘We’re staying prepared,’ Chip Holton, president of NCFI Polyurethanes and PFA president, told the meeting. ‘The virus may have slowed down many regulatory challenges, but PFA and member organisations have been watching. Once it is behind us there will be a flurry of new challenges to deal with, but we are preparing now.’
The 2021 meetings are still scheduled to happen in person, although this may change depending on the pandemic situation. The spring meeting is booked at its usual venue, the Vinoy Renaissance in St Petersburg, Florida, for 27-28 May. The fall meeting is set to be held north of the border, in Toronto, Ontario, on 3 and 4 November. The plan is to hold the 2022 fall meeting at this year's original venue in San Antonio.
