Loudon, Tennessee - The US Polyurethane Foam Association is holding its autumn meeting at the Omni Hotel at Hilton Head, South Carolina, starting Wednesday 7 Nov with a meeting on the progress of the CertiPUR-US foam certification programme.
This will be followed by an industry issues forum, which includes a special presentation on the federal TAAF programme that may provide matching funds to offset declines in sales and employment resulting from import competition.
On the following day, keynote speaker Kent Harrington will look at "How the People's Republic of China Eyes the American Market."
Harrington will provide a view of how Chinese economic policy-makers see the US market in an analysis is based on 30 years of experience with trade, economic, defence, and foreign policy issues, and senior management responsibility in public affairs, and as an Eastern Asian intelligence specialist serving as CIA Chief of Station in Tokyo.
