Loudon, Tennessee - The spring meeting of the US Polyurethane Foam Association, being held in Baltimore, Maryland, will hear a keynote speech 17 May by Alan Tonelson, research fellow at the USBIC Educational Foundation. Tonelson will give an update on federal economic and foreign policies and political issues that affect PFA member companies.
Bob Luedeka, PFA executive director, said Tonelson's articles on American politics, foreign policy, globalization, and technology policy have appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The New Republic and The Harvard Business Review.
Tonelson appears often on radio and television programmes including The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, The Diane Rehm Show, The Nightly Business Report, CNN, TalkAmerica, and Global Economic Media.
He is the author of 'Made in China? America's Failed Trade Policies towards the People's Republic.'
Tonelson is also a columnist for the Foundation's globalisation website, Americaneconomicalert.org and he is a Research Associate at the George Washington University Center for International Science and Technology Policy.
The meeting will also feature an AFPF / CertiPUR-US Combined Technical and General Business Meeting.
