Warsaw — Sales at Ciech's Pianki business shrank by 11.0% between the first half 2018 and 2019. They reached PLN 162m ($41.6m)in the first half of 2019. This compares with PLN 170m in the first half of 2018.
Although the prices of diisocyanates were lower than in the corresponding period last year, the numbers were hit by lower demand for PU foams from the furniture and mattress sectors. Poland exported – lower volumes of furniture and mattresses to Germany, Ciech said.
