Arlington, Virginia – PIMA, the Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association, has expanded its voluntary QualityMark certification programme for US and Canadian manufacturers of polyisocyanurate roof insulation.
The programme allows companies to obtain third-party certification of long-term thermal resistance (LTTR) values for insulation products. The expansion of the programme means they can now also gain third-party verification of thermal resistance values for full-thickness products.
Results from the expanded programme will be published from 2023.
‘Polyiso is the only insulation product to publish LTTR values certified under a third-party program,’ said Marcin Pazera, PIMA’s technical director. “Our QualityMark Programme is a valuable and credible tool for end users of polyiso, and will provide the construction industry with the confidence that selecting polyiso insulation means selecting the best insulation for roofing projects.’
