Washington, DC – Two key US polyurethane associations have joined Back to Work on America's Roofs. This pressure group aims to secure federal funding and tax cuts to help the US roofing industry post coronavirus.
It hopes this combination will encourage business owners to invest in capital improvement and support homeowners.
The 13-member group contains the Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association and the Spray Foam Association. It wants congress to keep 'incentivising and rewarding businesses that keep employees on their payrolls. It also wants congress to 'reward businesses that increase pay-rolls above pre-crisis levels by hiring the unemployed.'
The group also wants federal government to fund training and technical education in the sector.
It explains that 'energy-efficient roof replacements will put money back into business while protecting physical assets.
